I made a glass door in my map. And i was trying to get it to work with a button on each side. Im making a map for halflife (1) using the right prefabs and the right FGD.

And i got the following going on when i try it:
- 1. The door will ONLY open ( i made reset time on the button and
valued the doors -1 with the stay open function ) <i think i repared
by putting that value on 9000>
- 2. The glass won't shuffle in as far as the steel frame of the door

I was wondering how about this lip thing which i can add a value in, what is it for? I used a tutorial at: http://halflife.qeradiant.com/halflife/athl1.htm
but considering i am not making a rotating door but a sliding one (up). I don't know whether it has much use to using it.

Okay i fixed 2 already on myself. I just have no idea how to configure the buttons to just open and close the door ( without timer just with the same button ? ). I tried -1 but then it wouldn't EVER move after i added it. And i tried the value 9000 but then i would have to wait 9000 seconds to let it close for i cannot use the button to close it somehow. Any suggestions ( still working on -1 ! ! )

I did that already let me put in ALL the info on the door which is working about fine except for i can't keep it ... just quiet it keeps moving up and down every 5 secs (it does move perfectly)...

Steel Frame of the door:

Damage Inflicted when blocked: 10000 ( i want the door to kill people when they get blocked underneath it )

For the rest NOTHING is flagged (not on the doors either). And NOW i only have the problem that my door WHEN it closes again. It will open RIGHT AWAY. While the meaning was that it should only open when i use the button ... but somehow that won't work ?

so you want the door to open with button and close with button?
or open with button and close in 5 seconds?

if your door keeps opening and closing every 5 seconds by itself, something seems to be blocking the door when it's closing.

Well i want it to open and close with the button Smile but i can't see anything blocking the door ( maybe the floor does cause i inserted a lip value? )

trying moving the door frame out of the way and just see how glass part is moving in game.

I dont see anything wrong with the glass part i guess i messed up the button or something. Im going to rebuild the door again and check whether it works this time Smile
