I don't know if you have listed it in a tutorial but what is the best way to do a 3D road with curb and realistic textures?
EDIT: also is there an easy way to transfer Unreal Tournament maps over or are the differences too great? |

I dont know of a way to transfer unreal maps into HL2 or CS:S.
as for the street and curbs, just use brushes for the street and texture them and make another brush for the curbs , make them a little taller and texture them.
or you can use displacements for streets so you can make them uneven and bumpy or curve |

Notice that nobody also made a good tutorial of making realistic houses. Its a whole job to make a good door already in CSS (if u ask me) especially if u want it to somewhat fit with the brick walls ur using the streets. By the way ... brick walls need windows ... quite hard to find a good way to make all stuff together look good.
Maybe a suggestion there for you Slackiller |
